BIOPHILIC HEALTH
KNOW YOUR
NATURE

Biophilic Health is rooted in nature connection
Not just to the natural world around us, but to the deeper truths within. To know your nature is to feel the pulse of the earth in your own rhythms, to honor your way of being, and to find your place in the great web of life. This connection widens your circle of belonging nurturing compassion for all living things—and planting the seeds of lasting health and well-being for yourself, your community, and the planet we all call home.

BIO = LIFE PHILIC = AFFINITY TOWARD (SOMETHING)

Biophilia is the idea that humans are naturally drawn to nature and seek connections with other living things.

What Do We Mean by “Nature”?
When we say “nature,” we’re talking about the world beyond buildings—like plants, animals, fresh air, sunlight, water, and natural places such as forests, parks, and gardens that engage our bodies, minds and senses. Nature also includes natural materials, like wood and stone, as well as things that remind us of nature- such as soothing sounds, images, or symbols that can influence what we think and how we feel.

Why Biophilic Health Matters
Nature is Good for You!
Spending time in nature is one of the easiest ways to feel better— fast. It can lower stress, boost your mood, improve focus, and help you stay active and healthy. In fact, experts recommend spending at least 2 hours a week in nature to enjoy these benefits.

Nature Helps Kids Grow Strong
For children, playing in nature is even more important. It supports healthy development, builds confidence, sparks creativity, and helps with emotional regulation. Kids need lots of time to play freely outdoors—ideally at least one hour a day in natural spaces.1

Learning from Nature
Builds Resilience
Nature connection invites us to learn from the wisdom of the natural world. By attuning to its rhythms and patterns, we uncover our natural resilience and gain deeper insight into ourselves—and what it truly means to thrive.
